Welcome
Bowness Primary School is set in the village of Little Lever, a suburb to the south east of Bolton. The school caters for children aged 3 to 11 years and is set in large grounds on Church Street, next to Little Lever High School.
Bowness is well known for our warm and welcoming ethos and we are proud of the family atmosphere that you can feel as you walk round our school. At Bowness we believe that every staff member, pupil, parent and visitor should be 'Aiming High' in everything they do. We encourage this through our positive relationships, inspirational teaching and high quality curriculum offer.
At Bowness we deliver a rich and exciting curriculum which inspires and motivates our pupils to aim high. It follows the National Curriculum 2014 and is focused on high standards of academic achievement.
Our last full Ofsted inspection graded the school as good with outstanding features and reflects positively on the incredible journey of this school. Our Key Stage 2 results continue to rise and are above local and national averages. Everyone involved in this school is proud of what we achieve and are all relentlessly focused on making sure children are safe, love learning and fulfil their potential. We are also very proud to be part of the Prestolee Multi Academy Trust.
