Mrs Unsworth - Teaching and Learning
Two girls in key stage two have made so much progress. They loved this book. Well done Virginia and Dzsenifer.
Year 6 enjoying picture books with Mrs Unsworth
Mrs Unsworth supporting key stage Maths fun. The children enjoy the practical learning. Well done year one.
Year 6 had a great day using Smarties recently when Mrs Unsworth used them to engage the learners for a whole day. They applied knowledge of fractions in maths, recorded modal verbs and expanded noun phrases in literacy. They also had great fun singing songs and comparing the 1980's Smarties advert with that of the 1990's. They then went on to devise their own raps.
Mrs Unsworth enjoyed teaching Year 3 about describing settings and characters using the book, Scarecrows Wedding. We are not sure who enjoyed collecting the props most, the children or Mrs Unsworth!
Year 5 writing
Mrs Unsworth Modelling a French Lesson
Year 6 enjoyed making board games to promote E safety ready for the community workshop on Friday 30th September. We based it on snakes and ladders, but had to change the images. Well done all. Good team work.
Winners of the Roald Dahl and 'What Bowness Means to me' writing competitions, thoroughly enjoyed their prize of afternoon tea with Mrs Unsworth in the Headteacher's office. After the formalities of sandwiches and cakes, a great time was had by all at Mrs Unsworth's 'Office Mini-Disco', where much dancing and laughter took place! Well done to all the winners.
