'Art' should be interpreted as 'art, craft and design'
Art, craft and design embody some of the highest forms of human creativity. A high-quality art and design education should engage, inspire and challenge pupils, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own works of art, craft and design. As pupils progress, they should be able to think critically and develop a rigorous understanding of art and design. We aim to develop this at Bowness.
Amazing art produce by our Year 3 pupils, inspired by the artist Kandinsky.
Year 1 have created art work using forces. They established lots of forces that could be use to change the shape of objects. From this they rolled (push) marbles through paint to create their masterpieces.
Some amazing Year 4 art work inspired by Alberto Giacometti.
We are very proud of our Year 6 pupils. Great observational drawings using variety of drawing tools. - February 2018
